Introduction to the Institute

The Institute of Higher Studies of Humanities and Social Sciences of Henan University was established in December 2021 (XTF [2022] No. 4), referred to as the Institute of Higher Studies. It works under the guidance of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, and mainly undertakes the functions of academic organization, communication and service. It is a member of the Association of Higher Research Institutes of Chinese Universities (CN-IAS), formerly the Institute of Higher Humanities of Henan University (JF [2017] No. 229) established in July 2017.

The Institute adheres to the construction concept of "comprehensive, research-oriented and international", and aims at "studying carefully, cultivating humanity, paying attention to reality, maintaining integrity and innovation, problem-oriented and interdisciplinary"; The core goal is to build new interdisciplinary disciplines; With the basic tasks of innovating the new mechanism of academic development, organizing research on major projects, carrying out high-end academic exchanges, and promoting humanistic general education, we will focus on major practical and theoretical issues, break the institutional barriers of disciplines, gather outstanding talents inside and outside the school, cultivate original ideas, propose original ideas, establish original theories, and produce landmark major achievements, and finally build ourselves into a domestic first-class, internationally renowned interdisciplinary, comprehensive An open academic organization, exchange and service platform for humanities and social sciences will lead the development of interdisciplinary humanities and social sciences and serve the construction of "double first-class" of the school.
